The Dark Tower

The Dark Tower is a tall, cobblestone skyscraper that was built by Flo on July 25th, 2023. The tower is Flo's primary place of residence, and is perhaps best-known for it's unique lavacasted construction process.

This skyscraper remained the tallest habitable building in the world until June 6th, 2024. When the Empire Tower in London, Great Britan was complete.

Construction

Flo had no permanent residence prior to the Dark Tower. Like many other players, he started his journey on the server at the Matthew Smith Estate, where he kept most of his belongings in the FLO CHEST. One day, he found a Mushroom Fields biome when exploring new territories and decided that it was suitable area to build a base. Rather than investing time in gathering materials for a structure, he decided to use the ancient technique of lavacasting to expedite the entire process—from gathering materials to placing them.

After creating the initial structure, Flo had to carve out the inside of the base to make it suitable for living. Leaving the general shape intact, he hollowed the base to his liking. The result was a magnificent skyscraper that featured a grand entrance at the base with a naturally diminishing exterior approaching the top.

A spiraling staircase was built from the outside of the tower. It started at the base of the build and extended all the way up to the highest floor of the tower, which would become Flo's Lair. The top floor houses much of Flo's belongings, which were moved from the Smith Estate following the completion of the tower.
